About Me
My name is Jeffrey Ricketts, I am a 20 year old antiques dealer based in North East, Maryland. I first started my interest into early American antiques when I was about 9 or 10 years old when my parents restored a 1739 house that we currently live in. Digging in the yard with my younger brother and pulling up all types of 18th and 19th century sherds and artifacts really sparked the interest. I do several shows a year, along with online sales, and my barn full of wonderful early things is open by appointment!
The name East Nottingham Antiques is deeply rooted in our local history. Our home was constructed on what was known as lot 31 on William Penn's, Nottingham Lots. Our property operated as a tanyard from 1739-1848, on the outskirts of a small village called Calvert (formerly Brick Meeting House). In the 18th century the area was known as East Nottingham. Today most of the property has been turned into the Calvert Regional Park, while the house is part of the county's curatorship program.
